Production Description
Diethanolamine is a colorless, viscous liquid that is highly soluble in water, ethanol, and ether, and slightly soluble in benzene. It is stable at normal temperatures, but it decomposes easily under high temperatures or in acidic conditions, and may undergo intense reactions when combined with strong oxidants. Diethanolamine are concentrated in industrial purification, chemical intermediates and surfactants fields. It is used for the production of surfactants, preservatives and other products, and is widely applied in various fields such as automobiles, pesticides, medicine, textiles, cosmetics and paints. For example, it can be used to produce certain optical bleaching agents in the textile industry, and can also be used as an absorbent for acidic gases (CO2, H2S, SO2) in industrial gas purification.
